Questions, Contact Us: Se Habla Espaņol The Tarpoon Skin Diving Center was established in Hialeah in 1952 (making it the oldest diving store in Florida) and is now operated by Valerie and Stephanie Kevorkian, the founder's daughters. The facility includes equipment sales, servicing, equipment rentals, a classroom and an indoor heated pool for training. Valerie opened an associate store, Tarpoon Lagoon, in Miami's South Beach in 1997. This store also has the same professional services, a private classroom and utilizes an outdoor pool for instruction purposes.
