Packing
Whatever your prized possessions, CoMac, Inc. can pack and/or crate them for safe transport.
We offer packing services of lamps, dishes, linen, mirrors, etc. in addition to any of our moving services.
Since packing charges are based per carton, you can have us pack all of your non-furniture items or only part of them and you pack the rest - whichever best suits your budget.
Local Moves
Local moves in and around Charleston, SC/ Moncks Corner, SC/ Isle of Palms, SC/ Kiawah and Seabrook Islands, SC/ Walterboro, SC/ Mt. Pleasant, SC/ and Summerville, SC. Prices are based on the number of men and hours to perform the move.
Intra-state Moves
CoMac, Inc. has operating authority to move you from and to any point within South Carolina. Prices are based on weight and distance moved. We are members of the South Carolina Tariff Bureau. PSC #2803. Minimums may apply.
Inter-state Moves
As agents for American International, CoMac, Inc. can handle your moving needs from and to anywhere in the United States. Covering all finished furniture surfaces plays a major part in preventing damage. Our professionals also utilze care and expertise in loading the truck for safe transport. DOT #419653As. International Moves
Baggage air shipments consist of your clothes, computer, dishes and other small items you may need while you are waiting for your furniture to arrive or if your stay overseas will only be a few months. Read more about our storage services for the rest of your household goods if you are planning a short-term move to another country. Prices are based per hundred pounds and include packing, banding, stenciling and weighing. Airline and customs clearance charges will be in addition to and separate of CoMac's charges. We can obtain quotes on these services for you.
International shipping is a complicated business. CoMac's surveyor, Bill Brenner, has over 40 years experience in international shipping, specifically household goods shipping for the last 10 years. He is always happy to discuss your options (liftvans vs. 20' or 40' containers) in his favorite subject: international shipping.
Lift Van Shipments
Our packing and crating professionals are ready to pack your furniture and cartons into these large wooden containers for international shipping. This is often a more economical method of sending small shipments which contain furniture. Prices include packing, banding, stenciling and weighing. Sea freight or flatbed long distance transportation and customs clearance charges will be in addition to and separate of CoMac's charges. We can obtain quotes on these services for you. Keep in mind that density is a pricing factor to sea freight carriers so it may be more economical to ship smaller, heavy items than large, lightweight ones.
Overseas Container Shipments
Our crews are experienced in loading and unloading 20' and 40' overseas containers. Density is not quite as important with this method of shipping. Prices are based on the weight and include packing. Sea freight or long distance transportation and customs clearance charges will be in addition to and separate of CoMac's charges. We can obtain quotes on these services for you.
