TRAFFIC

A traffic ticket can have serious consequences.  In North Carolina, a violation of the motor vehicle laws can result in fines, lost driving privileges, and jail time - not to mention horrendous increases in automobile insurance rates.

If you do get pulled over and issued a citation, be polite and courteous with the law enforcement officer that issues you the citation.  When you get to your destination, call my office.  I am available to explore your options with you.  The consultation is free.

BANKRUPTCY

War in Progress

There are, generally, two types of bankruptcy that an individual can file under.  One is a Chapter 7, the other is a Chapter 13.

In a Chapter 13 case, the debtor (the person who files bankruptcy) makes payments to a Trustee, who then makes payments to the creditors.  A Chapter 7 is known as a "total liquidation".  It is used by individuals who have primarily consumer, unsecured debts like credit cards and personal loans and, for whatever reason, find themselves unable to pay them.  A Chapter 7 is like a nuclear weapon.  It annihilates unsecured debt, and gives the person filing bankruptcy a "fresh start”.

I am available to answer any questions that you may have about the process, the cost, and your own particular situation.  The consultation is free.
